About
Fully completing the game would not be that much of an achievement if no true dedication, time and endurance have been required either. One could make the same argument for cover to win matches… You’re just spending time instead of cash. If you are not having fun, the game is playing you.
Which could become dead in a couple of months when everyone has run out of tasks to do and goals to reach. Leagues are designed in a way for you to be able to access end-game articles in matter of months, and of course using permanent servers will kill the hype to future leagues create the enjoyable and one of a kind league gameplay, well, won’t be really fun and unique anymore.
Much like, Christmas eves would not be so unique anymore if they occured every Sunday.
I’d personally keep playing with it. If nothing else because you are able to get the gratification of filling logs much much faster.
Folks are probably sleeping on this but Leagues is probably the ideal approach to find out TOB and Nightmare mechanics because you have more margin for error and teams are likely more accepting of errors. That’s invaluable since its basically impossible to really find experienced teams willing to put up with a newbie and also soloing things too time consuming
I can see how it’s interesting for casuals and people with not that much time that are stuck in mid-game at the actual OSRS and didn’t experience a lot of the end-game content.
For me though, it merely looks like a personal server with Jmod powers and instant gratification. I honestly would not feel great about finishing GWD in a few times and destroying every boss without effort.
I am aware this sub has a fucking heart attack any time double exp is mentioned, but frankly double exp weekends sometimes would get me back to playing the game compared to anything.Leagues has been a lot of fun, but man I’m so bad at playing region locked Ironman lol. Every time I develop a strategy I hit a roadblock.
