Ready to begin a local SEO campaign for a fair monthly fee?

A small selection of the businesses we've helped over the years.

SEO that is NOT stacked against you from the onset.

The SEO world is full of companies making false promises to gain your custom! Knowledge is power or so the saying goes, and this is certainly the case when it comes to search engine optimisation - the truth is the whole SEO system is stacked against you from the onset. You are the one taking all of the financial risk. You are the one putting all of your trust in a company that you know very little about. Poor search engine optimisation can result in significant financial loss, and in more unfortunate cases it can destroy businesses.

So what can you do about it? Take your time and choose an SEO company that feels right, has a proven track record with real examples, and perhaps most importantly, doesn't have a sales team! NEVER HIRE AN SEO COMPANY AFTER A COLD CALL! Think about it logically - a company that has salespeople, has targets, and of course has overheads - normally significant overheads! Once you have signed up with their SEO service you are simply one of many clients in their pipeline.

A simple message to businesses looking for search engine optimisation.

Here at Eyeprint our message is very simple - we are a small team of SEO experts that live and breathe search engine optimisation, and we have been doing so since 2005! We are proud to be the region's longest standing SEO company!

SEO can be affordable and successful if you choose the right consultant. Our £99 fee is second to none - but why is our SEO so affordable?

We only offer local search marketing or local SEO services - we do NOT offer national SEO campaigns or SEO for e-commerce websites. If you are looking for national SEO or SEO for your e-commerce website then our ONLY recommendation is Semtelligence - they provide outstanding SEO services for much larger SEO campaigns. But if you are looking for affordable local SEO that will make a real difference to your business - there's no one better than Eyeprint!

THE TRUTH YOU NEED TO KNOW: Many SEO agency fees incorporate employee wages, rent and rates, commission, and of course a tidy slice of profit. You'll be lucky if 30% of your fee goes directly on your SEO campaign. Did we mention we have no overheads and no salespeople? Our £99pcm fee is fair and what other SEO agencies would be charging if their overheads weren't so high.

SEO is a game of patience but we'll show you improvement from month 1!

Above shows 4 of our clients Google Search Console data. Our logo marks when we started working on their SEO.

The strategy: Learn how we will implement your local SEO campaign.

Below you will find a typical SEO strategy undertaken by Eyeprint. We would love to help your business succeed online, but we always recommend you try some basic SEO yourself first, or at least gain an understanding of the subject. Why not try watching some YouTube videos from SEO'ers such as Neil Patel and Brian Dean (Backlinko)? Whilst much of their work may not apply to you specifically, there is still great value in watching their videos. As a starting point we have added one for you - it discusses content, click through rate and Google Search Console. Honestly, if you can get to grips with these three areas you can rank #1!

Keyword research (primary, secondary and long tail keyword refining).

Keyword research is essential and should always be based on fact and NEVER assumption! All successful search engine optimisation campaigns have taken the time to research and select the correct keywords from the onset - this is a continuous process too! If you fail at this stage, your SEO campaign is already doomed! Keyword research coupled with thorough competitor analysis will dictate how we structure and prioritise your local SEO campaign.

It is highly likely that you found Eyeprint on Google.co.uk by searching for "local SEO" or "local SEO company", but there are many more alternatives you could have searched, such as "local SEO consultant", "local SEO service", "local search marketing", "local search engine optimisation" and so on. We need to show Google and other search engines that we have done our research, covered all bases and keyword variations. Everything we do must be well considered - hard work will always pay off!

Competitor website research.

We always analyse the competition. Competitor websites offer an invaluable insight into success and failure. Although your competitors won't always get it right, their website and SEO can provide a benchmark for your SEO campaign - afterall, we are directly competing against them and it's them we need to top! As part of our competitor research we will evaluate all of the top ranking local websites in your industry. This means we can gain a sound understanding of what is required to obtain a top result by Google's definition. There is no limit to the number of websites we will analyse. We do what is required to become the #1 ranking website - anything less simply doesn't cut it!

Initial rank report based on your chosen keywords.

The SEO campaign should be a success by your definition. There are several ways we will show you continuous improvement throughout your SEO campaign, including improvements in your Google rankings. The initial rank report will detail your starting position, your base rank so to speak. This is a brilliant way to monitor your SEO progress, plus it proves how good our local SEO is!

Link your website to the industry leading SEO management software and perform full website audits.

Link to Majestic: Evaluate link building opportunities, reputation management, website traffic development and competitor analysis.

Link to Semrush: Gain insight into your competitor strategies in display advertising, organic search, paid search and link building.

Link to E20: Commissioned by Eyeprint to give us a competitive advantage in all we do, E20 is the first and best of its kind. E20 is an aggregate data extraction tool that considers all 200+ Google ranking influences from domain factors (page level and site level), backlinks, user interaction, Google algorithm rules and brand signals. By extracting your website data from leading SEO management software such as Majestic, Semrush, Moz, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Google Analytics and the often overlooked Google My Business Data Insights, we can manage everything we need, all in one place. We turn something very complex and difficult to quantify into something simple and understandable.

Google Search Console and Google Analytics assessment.

It is essential for us to understand what is working for your website, what is currently driving traffic, and how the end-user is responding to what they are seeing. Content and backlinks can get you a top result but great user metrics help keep you there. We will use this data as a benchmark for your conversion rate analysis / optimisation at a later stage. Google Search Console is a fantastic tool for showing keyword-level organic traffic, so we should be able to identify some quick wins. We'd expect to show you some immediate Google ranking improvement with the quality of our local SEO service.

Perform full backlink evaluation and citation audit.

We will conduct a thorough backlink evaluation and citation audit to gain a full understanding of your backlink profile. Please note: It is normal at this stage to discover backlinks from poor neighbourhoods - please don't be alarmed. If this is the case, we will need to build your backlink authority first, before performing any backlink disavow (backlink removal), as even poor backlinks can contribute to domain strength. SEO is a science, we must carefully calculate everything we do, including backlink removal. We will likely remove any unwanted backlinks later in the campaign - when we have successfully built your domain strength to a much higher level - and level we are happy with!

The purpose of the citation audit is to see if we need to update any existing business citations, and to avoid duplicating your business listings. When it comes to SEO - duplication is never good.

Google My Business optimisation.

Google My Business is a fantastic way to gain great exposure on Google quickly and we need your Google My Business listing to be optimised perfectly for several reasons. Your website contact details and all other online references to your website that contain your NAP (name, address and telephone number) must match your Google My Business information as closely as possible. There are over 200 quality citation resources available for UK businesses and we need your website to be listed on as many as possible.

So why is NAP so essential to local search?
According to the leading SEO authority Moz, citation quantity, quality and consistency make up half of the foundational ranking factors for local SEO, and just under half of the competitive difference makers. Citations matter to Google and provide the foundation for all local SEO campaigns - including your own local SEO campaign!

As previously stated there are 200+ factors that Google consider when determining their ranking system, some of which are very complex, and while citations may not require the same level of expertise or understanding as technical analysis, they are very time consuming to build correctly, and are an essential part of your overall SEO strategy.

Eyeprint has worked tirelessly since 2005 to become an industry leader in the local SEO market. The secret to our success? We do it all by the book, the way Google recommends no matter how difficult or time consuming the task may be. The hard work today is for tomorrow's success. We have no problem telling you how it is even if that means you don't do SEO with Eyeprint.

Once we have optimised your Google My Business page we will call you to go through the listing and make any necessary updates before you sign-off.

Citation preparation document. Full citation / backlink submission.

When we have completed your Google My Business listing we will use this information to prepare your citation preparation document. We will then submit your website to 200 of the best business directories / citation resources for UK businesses (also the best citations for local SEO campaigns) - perfect for search engine optimisation! These citations / backlinks are essential and will be spread over a 6 month period to appear as natural as possible to Google and other search engines.

Optimise all page title tags and meta descriptions.

The page title and meta descriptions we implement in the early stages of the SEO campaign will likely be very different to how they will look 6-9 months down the line. At this stage of the campaign we need to gain an uplift in your Google rankings and optimise for as many keywords as we can within the quickest time frame. A keyword driven Google snippet (the information you see in the search engine results pages) is likely to be the best option for your website at this stage. Further down the line when we have multiple top Google rankings, we will re-optimise your website for improved click through rates (CTR).

Optimise header tags (h1, h2, h3, h4, h5 and h6).

We'll always focus on creating strong headlines that will spark end-user interest and invite them to read further. You can apply the 80/20 rule to header tags - 80% of people will read your headlines but only 20% of those people will read the rest of your content and that is why the headline is as important as the content itself. Nothing beats a great value proposition that converts the end-user! It can sell your services, build confidence and ultimately be the difference between someone leaving or staying on your website.

An explanation of the different header tags and their values:

The header one tag - (h1).
The h1 tag is the most important header tag. This does a similar function to the title tag by communicating to Google exactly what your page is about. The h1 tag should be placed as close to the top of the page as possible and should contain the main keyword / phrase. Remember 80% of people will read your headlines but only 20% of those people will read the rest of your content. There should only be one h1 tag per page. Also the header tag must not copy the title tag - variation is the key with header tags!

The header two tag - (h2).
The h2 tag should be used if there is another section or additional paragraphs, and it should be placed below the h1 on the page. Ideally, there should be no more than two h2 tags per page. Again, the h2 tag informs Google what keywords and phrases are important. H1 and h2 tags are the most important header tags.

The other header tags - (h3, h4, h5 and h6).
Any additional header tags used (h3, h4, h5 and h6) should be added in numerical order if possible. The h4, h5 and h6 tags hold very little weight with Google and are normally just part of a website's design / structure.

Page speed and overall website speed improvements.

Page speed / website speed is a measurement of how fast the content on your page loads. Google has indicated that site speed (and as a result, page speed) is one of the signals used by its algorithm to rank pages. Page speed is also very important to user experience. Pages with a longer load time tend to have higher bounce rates and lower average session duration - longer load times can also negatively impact your website conversion. We'll cover all possible areas when it comes to improving the speed of your website.

Optimise your about us and contact us pages.

In general, the most visited website pages are the homepage, about, blog and contact page.

About us page: We need to make sure that your website delivers the most important and relevant information as high above the fold as possible. The user is on your about us page for a reason - to answer their questions! They are interested in who you are and what you have to offer - they are seeking a deeper level of engagement. We will continue to develop your page as we move through the SEO strategy, but as a starting point we need to make sure it answers the reason why the user visited your website in the first place.

Contact us page: Again, we need to make sure we put the information the user is looking for above the fold - an address, telephone number, contact form, map, email address, etc. The Contact us page implies the most detailed level of intent on the part of the user - we need to make it easy for people to contact you by making your call to actions really obvious, and engaging.

Improve the quality of your GDPR policy, cookie policy, terms / privacy, HTML sitemap and XML sitemap pages (if required).

The information pages on your website may not rank on Google or bring in relevant traffic but they are essential! Why? Trust. A business that invests time in their website is a business that can be trusted - in both Google's eyes and your potential customers. We will ensure that your website information pages are all present and correct. If we have any amendments to make we will contact you to discuss first.

Image naming and image optimisation (alt attributes).

The purpose of alt attributes (or alt text) is to provide a description of the image. There are two reasons why we need your images to be named and optimised correctly. Firstly, for the end-user - to provide text for the visually impaired and people who use screen readers. If images do not show in a browser, the alt text will show in place of the images. Secondly, alt text is important for SEO, as they allow the images on your pages to rank in image search results. According to Google itself - "Google uses alt text along with computer vision algorithms and the contents of the page to understand the subject matter of the image." So, effective image naming and alt optimisation is a great and easy way to get more traffic to your website!

Schema markup (review and local business schema).

Schema markup is the language of search engines, created by Google, Yahoo, Bing, and Yandex in 2011. It allows Google and other search engines to explicitly understand what content is about, helping them serve their users better, and ensure they are giving a quality answer. Remember Google was created to be a Q&A platform.

Schema markup can be very complicated to understand, but to us it's simply one of the 200+ factors that help Google determine the most accurate result for their ranking system.

Fix crawl errors (internal and external).

Crawl errors occur when a search engine tries to reach a page on your website but fails. We will make sure that every link on your website leads to an actual page and crawl errors are minimal / non-existent. Fixing crawl errors is time consuming, ongoing and important to your overall SEO.

Refine and add to your existing content.

If we write the perfect piece of content for your website on day 1, and we don't obtain a top ranking in Google, we will have used one of our best tools ineffectively. SEO is a science, and in order to achieve the most from everything we do (our tactics / edits / improvements), we must consider our current position and what we can realistically achieve. Will there be a better time in the future to employ a specific tactic? Patience is key with SEO.

As part of adding to your content, we'll also develop a strong internal linking system. The easiest way to build domain strength and page authority is by building an effective internal linking system throughout your website. We will build a hierarchy of internal links to place emphasis on your most important pages, making it easy for Google to understand your page priority.

Create landing pages.

Everything we do today is with the future in mind. We should be thinking about creating landing pages and indexing them as quickly as possible with Google and other search engines. Once they are indexed we can begin building on them, making the pages better and stronger. Landing pages are a fantastic way to achieve great traffic and new customers quickly. No matter how good our local SEO service is, we can only optimise one page for 2-3 competitive search terms, therefore adding landing pages is a must!

At this stage of your campaign most of the SEO work undertaken has been to lay the foundation for your future success. The next stage is to grow your website to become the industry leader. SEO analysis and evaluation play an essential role at this stage and this is where we really show our worth. Everything we do will be refined, really homing in on the specifics, employing smarter digital marketing tactics to make a real difference to your business.

Backlinks - still and probably always will be the #1 Google ranking factor!

Unfortunately backlinks are still and probably always will be the #1 Google ranking factor! Personally, we don't like backlinks, as a ranking factor they are flawed - backlinks can be fabricated, giving the bigger companies with the bigger wallets an unfair advantage. Many of the poorer operating SEO agencies rank high because they have salespeople selling to hundreds of customers every month - and guess what? This means hundreds of new backlinks pointing to their website.

However, irrespective of our opinion on backlinks, we can't change the fact that they are essential and we must proactively build high quality and topically relevant backlinks to make sure your website ranks #1 or as high as possible for what you do. One thing we can say with absolute confidence - we guarantee that other SEO companies will not be taking the time and effort to build your backlink profile like we will!

Citation report to see what is active / pending.
Before we begin building backlinks we review your current position regarding active and pending local citations (the citations we have previously built). We will re-submit any pending citations and build any new citations we have sourced. It is a guarantee that citations will have been removed or expired, this is why SEO is ongoing.

Qualitative competitor backlinks.
The quantitative citations previously built provide the foundation for your future success. Moving forward we need to build all of your competitors high Domain Authority (DA) and topically relevant backlinks. These particular backlinks take time to source, and there is no guarantee of approval, but by the end we should be able to match and better all of your main local competitors. Once we have built your local competitor backlinks we can begin sourcing other industry specific backlinks from other top ranking UK locations. The end result will be your website outdoing everyone in your location!

Paid competitor backlinks.
After assessing your competitors backlink profile we may find a great opportunity to acquire a paid backlink. If this is the case then we may need to purchase backlinks from trusted sources. It is worth saying that Google frowns upon paid backlinks or paid backlink arrangements. Any backlink we deem beneficial to you will always be safe!

Customer generated backlinks / supplier backlinks.
It is often the case that the best backlinks can come directly from you. Can you think of any backlinks we can build for your website? If so, we need to acquire them. The closer we work together the better for both parties.

Further content development.

As you can see by reading our content - SEO is ongoing, it never stops, and if you want to get to the #1 spot on Google, you need to keep ahead of the curve and the competition! One of the many great things about our local search engine optimisation service is the £99pcm fee. We give you a transparent service that is proven. We won't hike up the price at a later date and the return on investment for your £99 will make it the easiest money you spend on your business.

Anyway, back to the subject of content development - we need to start thinking about conversion at this point. Your landing pages need to tick all of the boxes. For example, if you are a roofer, your landing page needs to show case studies relevant to that location, including before and after images. We need a potential customer to land on your page and say "Ah, that's who did that job". Case studies can be great, but content ideas are not limited to just case studies - frequently asked questions are a great way to optimise for voice search and strengthen the trust / credibility of your pages. Then there's adding silo pages. Siloing means grouping related pages together, either structurally or through internal linking to establish the website's keyword-based themes - this is a fantastic way to make clear to search engines what the website is about and build real authority. Also we will continuously review existing pages and new page opportunities - including adding videos and infographics. Our local SEO package really does cover it all!

Continuous improvement and updating keeps your website fresh, trusted and relevant - everything that matters to Google and other search engines. It may be something as simple as refining your title tag or meta description - it all counts.

Potential for a backlink detox and disavow.

Do you remember us discussing backlink removal a little earlier? Your domain should now be strong enough to remove any poor backlinks without it impacting on your domain strength or Google positions. We'll remove any unwanted backlinks over an acceptable time duration. As we progress it is likely that backlinks will be picked up naturally (the ideal), so we'll also monitor this to make sure they are high in quality, trust and relevancy.

Conversion rate analysis / optimisation - A/B testing and call to action improvements.

If content and backlinks gain the ranking, it's engagement and user metrics that keep you there. It is essential we make sure your potential customers stay on your website longer than they do on your competitors. We need to make sure they find what they are looking for and it is delivered in the best way to gain the sale or conversion. This is the most difficult part of SEO, but there are many ways we can get the most out of your website - such as adding heatmaps (thorough user behaviour analysis), Google Analytics evaluation and of course by keeping on top of Google updates and advancements.

If Google raises the bar, we must make sure you go above it. We can never rest on our laurels with SEO, and we must continue to stay ahead of your competition. The SEO process is never ending and the game is stacked against you from the onset - but I hope after reading this you realise this doesn't have to be the way. If you need a local SEO consultant or a local search agency to implement SEO for your website, contacting Eyeprint is an absolute must! There is no obligation to work with us, no hard sales tactics, just two businesses having a conversation to see if we can work together and help each other grow!

A final thought when choosing a local SEO company.

The choice is entirely yours! You are responsible for your business and therefore your business decision making. We advise you to send your enquiry to 10+ SEO companies and listen to them all. You need to feel 100% confident when you begin an SEO campaign - it is your hard earned cash that is on the line!

A relationship runs both ways. We want to work with businesses that give us the time to execute our well thought out SEO strategy. If you want to be top within 3 months then you need to understand the SEO game - if an SEO agency says then can achieve this then please run for the hills! Perhaps most importantly for ourselves is that you don't contact us if you have a poor reputation and don't care about your customers. Under no circumstance do we want to achieve a top result on Google for a business that only cares about their own pockets! We'd like to take this opportunity to say thank you for visiting our website and we hope we can work together soon.
